Hello, my name is Adam. I am trained as a psychology/neuroscientist in learning and memory. My main interests are reading history, particularly in relation to geopolitics, economics, and language learning.
In my space time I read class novels and economic text books, as well as exercising regularly.
What I want from this job is the opportunity to embed myself in the learning process to inform my future PhD ambitions.
I have zero teaching qualifications. I, however, have a year of experience teaching English from A2-C1. I also give conversation classes in which students can practice their fluency.
My method is related to my research; language is a social thing, and I try to make my teaching environment one in which we are friends, which creates an atmosphere of comfortability, which I find eases the students as they often have anxieties when speaking.
I also try and speak in their native tongue, but I do this to make them feel more comfortable because my pronunciation is not the best and it shows them that it is ok if they can’t speak properly; we are all here to learn. Mistakes are important,.
Hey, my name is Adam and I am an English teacher. I have been recommended by countless students, and if you are looking to improve your fluency or vocab, I am very well read. I have the *gift of the gab* (can talk a lot about anything).
If you have any enquiries, please don’t hesitate to make contact. We need to see if we are a good fit first, because student-teacher/friend relationship is very important to my method of teaching.
